Duffy Jennings has compiled a distinguished career as a nationally recognized corporate communications executive, public relations consultant, journalist and freelance writer. He has worked with companies and clients in technology, e-commerce, consumer products and services, public policy, leisure, hospitality, sports, travel, and entertainment.

Through his corporate background as the senior communications executive for two Silicon Valley public policy organizations, a startup incubator, a public e-commerce venture and a Major League Baseball team, together with his inside experience as a daily newspaper reporter and editor, Duffy's expertise has generated national news coverage that increased brand awareness, growth and revenue for dozens of clients since 1993, including VendorRate, RealNetworks, 3Com, EFI, HP, Intuitive Devices, Mobileplay, Mindscape Software, Golfweb.com and Willie Mays.

In addition to his consulting practice, Duffy is currently vice president of communications for Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network, and previously served as vice president of strategic communications for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, senior vice president of development and communications for The Enterprise Network of Silicon Valley, vice president of corporate communications for internet retailer Fogdog, and vice president of public relations for the San Francisco Giants

He was also a prize-winning reporter, editor and bureau chief for the San Francisco Chronicle and has been a freelance writer, public speaker, speechwriter and journalism instructor.

Among his work for the Chronicle, Jennings covered the Patty Hearst kidnap, the Zodiac serial murders, the City Hall assassinations of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, the subsequent murder trial of former Supervisor Dan White and the trial's riotous aftermath. He won the International Association of Fire Fighters national newswriting prize for his series on life inside a San Francisco firehouse.

Duffy's character was portrayed by veteran actor Adam Goldberg in the 2007 feature film, "Zodiac."

Duffy has appeared extensively on the national media - in connection with his own work and on behalf of his clients and companies - including CNN, ESPN, NBC, CBS,  ABC, FOX, the Travel Channel, the Discovery Channel and the History Channel.

In addition to The Chronicle, his freelance writing has appeared in San Francisco Magazine, Rolling Stone, San Jose Magazine and the book Great Crimes of San Francisco.

He belongs to the Silicon Valley chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. A native San Franciscan, Duffy earned his BA in Journalism from San Francisco State University.
